Ventilation and cooling project at the exit floor of a high-speed railway station in Guangdong

Project Overview

The first phase of a high-speed rail station in Guangdong will be completed and put into use in September 2024. The outbound floor is located on the second underground floor and is a semi-open space. The urban corridor is 175 meters long and 25 meters wide, running east-west as a whole. Because it is located on the second underground floor, there is a dense flow of people and a serious accumulation of odor in the air. Natural ventilation alone cannot provide a comfortable environment for passengers.

Plan application

In order to improve the environment and enhance passenger travel experience, China Railway Construction Group decided to adopt a new ventilation and cooling solution with evaporative cooling, and designed a total of 17 unit AOLAN evaporative air coolers, including 14 dual-centrifugal media models and 3 Wind Emperor models. 14 media machines are evenly distributed in the advertising rooms on the north and south sides of the city corridor on the outbound floor. Double-layer electric louver air vents are used to supply air to the center of the flow of people to maximize the air-conditioning coverage area. 3 Wind Emperor are installed in the air-conditioned machine room and supply air to the rapid transfer hall through air ducts.

Effect display

Actual measurement data shows that in hot summers, the air conditioner outlet temperature can stably drop below 28°C. The use of air conditioners has significantly reduced the temperature of the exit corridor and rapid transfer hall, improved indoor air quality, and effectively It has alleviated the troubles caused by high temperature and odor to passengers, greatly improved the high-speed rail station environment, and enhanced overall comfort, achieving the expected results.
