Project Overview

The ancient books room is located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, with a total area of about 45 square meters and a floor height of 2 to 3 meters. It is mainly used to store ancient books. Because books are extremely sensitive to changes in humidity, excessive humidity can cause mold and fungi to multiply rapidly, causing damage to ancient books. Therefore, dehumidification equipment is indispensable in this ancient book room.

Scheme application

The ancient book room is equipped with one AOLAN counterflow heat pump solution dehumidification unit, which is installed in the indoor air conditioning room and connected to the ancient book room through a return air duct system. The indoor air is slightly supplied and the airflow is evenly distributed, ensuring extremely low fluctuations in temperature and humidity throughout the room. Most of the time, full return air circulation is used to ensure stable indoor airflow. When personnel enter and exit the ancient book room, the fresh air valve can be opened to provide necessary fresh air, and the equipment operates under mixed air conditions.

Effect display

This project underwent on-site acceptance in accordance with the acceptance documents/standards/terms agreed upon by both parties. The acceptance results met the design requirements. Through long-term transportation tracking records, it can be seen that the indoor environment can basically be maintained at an indoor dry bulb temperature of 21 to 24°C. When the relative humidity is between 50% and 55%, the instantaneous power consumption is always much lower than the design power consumption.

Indoor formaldehyde, PM2.5, TOVC, carbon dioxide and other measured values are better than the requirements of the 《Chinese Museum Industry Standard》 JGJ66-2015.
