The first phase of thermal environment improvement project for 16 above-ground stations of Beijing Metro

Project Overview

There are 78 elevated stations on 17 lines under the jurisdiction of Beijing Metro Company. The ground platform ventilation mainly relies on natural ventilation. In the hot summer, the temperature on the platform is high and the ventilation is poor, making passengers extremely hot while waiting. In the past, measures such as installing oscillating fans and setting up air-conditioned waiting rooms were usually used to cool down. However, the effect was not good or the energy consumption was too high.


In order to further improve the passenger waiting experience, Beijing Metro Corporation launched a scientific research pilot last year. Beijing Metro Operation Company, Rail Transit Design Institute, Jinhaoyuan and other units jointly developed and produced an evaporator suitable for rail transit with Aolan (Fujian) Industrial Co., Ltd. Type air conditioner product, this equipment uses evaporative cooling technology for cooling. By installing jet nozzles, the air supply distance is up to 8-12 meters. The angle of the air outlet is adjustable and the air flow covers a wide range, which can ensure the comfort of the passenger activity area and reduce the cost of passengers. Body temperature.

Aolan evaporative air cooler 

 

1. Product introduction Aolan evaporative air cooler is a device that uses the evaporation principle to cool down. The air to be treated is fully contacted with water through the cooling pad, and the evaporation and heat absorption of water is used to reduce the air temperature.


2. Working principle Aolan  evaporative air cooler integrates modern high technology into basic scientific principles, uses water instead of Freon as the refrigerant, and adopts efficient direct evaporation; refrigeration technology. The water pump continuously pumps out the water in the water pan and distributes it evenly on the evaporation cooling pad layer through the open water distributor; the hot air passes through the evaporation cooling pad layer and fully contacts the water, absorbing the air due to the rapid evaporation of the water. The heat cools the air, creating clean, cool air.

Effect Demonstration: 

After on-site measurement, the temperature at the air outlet of the Aolan evaporative air cooler dropped below 26°C, which significantly improved the riding environment and greatly enhanced passenger comfort, achieving the expected results. After the commissioning is completed, it is planned to be fully put into use at 16 stations including Sunhe, Guozhan, Hualikan and Houshayu on Line 15.
