This project is a national heavyweight project and an important part of the national big data strategy of "counting in the East and counting in the west". The big data center has a physical space of a dedicated building, computing resources with strong processing capacity (including dynamic allocation of computing resources), sufficient network resources (including dynamic flow regulation), and strong basic operation and maintenance capabilities. Indirect evaporative chiller units are required to be installed on the steel platform on the roof of the data room and serve as a direct cooling source for the data center in winter. as the data center equipped with water cooling chiller cooling cold source in summer,The requirements are as follows.


This project uses a total of 40 AOLAN indirect evaporation chiller AGS205-ZLAB(S), one system for every 10 units, a total of 4 systems, 3 used and 1 standby. In the summer weather of high temperature and humidity, the indirect evaporation chiller is used as a cooling tower to provide cooling water cooling service for the water-cooled chiller. In the transition of spring, autumn and winter, the indirect evaporation unit directly acts as a cold source to provide cold water for the end to achieve energy saving and consumption reduction of the system.

operational mode

Summer: Operating condition one mode, the AOLAN indirect evaporation chiller provides 37/32℃ inlet and outlet cold water, as the cooling water of the water-cooled chiller. In this mode, the indirect evaporative cooling chiller + water-cooled chiller + open-end chilled water type precision air conditioner is operated.

Winter: Operating condition two mode, the AOLAN indirect evaporation chiller provides 20/14℃ in and out of cold water, cold water as a direct cold source, through the plate heat exchanger, cold water for the end of the chilled water type precision air conditioning. In this mode, the indirect evaporative cooling chiller + plate heat exchanger + terminal chilled water type precision air conditioner is operated.

The in-situ testing results 

This project has been tested by the third party with CMA/CNAS qualification in the field operation condition, which meets and exceeds the original design requirements. The project has been successfully completed and accepted, and the test results are as follows:

Actual operating conditions in summer: wet bulb temperature 25.91℃, inlet temperature 35.81℃, outlet temperature 29.23℃(approaching 3.32℃, meeting and better than bidding requirements) Actual operating conditions in winter: wet bulb temperature 11.22℃, inlet temperature 19.05℃, outlet temperature 11.24℃(approaching 0.02℃, meeting bidding requirements).
