Large-scale complex buildings, such as hospital complexes, food courts, etc., have the characteristics of large construction area and high demand for fresh air. Usually, air source heat pump units are used with fan coil units and fresh air. Traditional air conditioning systems have problems such as inability to guarantee indoor parameters, poor comfort, and high energy consumption. The Liquid Desiccant Air Conditioner with full heat recovery uses salt solution as the working medium. The unit has its own cold and heat source, and can operate temperature and humidity control independently. It has the characteristics of high COP, convenient adjustment, and high killing rate of bacteria, viruses and microorganisms. It is suitable for This type of hospital complex building has a large demand for cooling capacity and a lot of fresh air, so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving, purification and comfort. The renovation of the previous air conditioning system can solve the problem of insufficient design capacity and achieve the purpose of energy saving and comfort.

Project Introduction

A food court has 4 floors with a total area of about 2800m² and a single-storey building area of about 700m². The first floor is a food stall and a cafeteria, the second and third floors are separated small restaurants, and the fourth floor is a high-end restaurant. The previous air-conditioning system is in the form of Fan Coil unit plus Fresh air, and the cooling source is an air source heat pump unit. At present, the air-conditioning system has the problem of insufficient design quantity and out-of-control indoor temperature and humidity. Especially when the fresh air is turned on, the indoor humidity will be higher. The original design cooling load is about 900KW, and the cooling source is 2*560KW of air source heat pump units. Because the actual passenger flow far exceeds the design value, the indoor temperature and humidity are high and the comfort is poor. The transformation requires the temperature to be controlled at 25℃±1.5℃ and the relative humidity at 50%±10%.    

According to the actual situation of the existing building, if the traditional air-conditioning renovation scheme is adopted, a total of 500KW refrigeration units need to be added, the fan coil unit will be increased accordingly, the system power distribution capacity will be expanded by 30%, and the renovation and operating costs will be greatly increased. The Fresh Air Desiccant Unit is used to replace the previous Fresh Air System. The air supply point of the fresh air is 20°C, 20% (3.0g/kg), and the humidity is much lower than the indoor humidity, which greatly reduces the latent heat compound of the previous air conditioning system. The sensible heat output of the original system has been increased. After the renovation, without adding refrigeration units and indoor end coils, the indoor temperature and humidity meet the owner's requirements, greatly improving air quality and comfort, and greatly saving equipment renovation costs and later operation costs.
