Xi’an Polytechnic University Professor Huang Xiang’s Graduate Team Interns at AOLAN

2024-08-05

Recently, Professor Huang Xiang from Xi’an Polytechnic University led his graduate team specializing in evaporative cooling for a five-day summer internship at AOLAN. The activity aimed to provide students with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of evaporative cooling technology through practical operations and on-site observations. This not only strengthened the technical cooperation between both parties but also injected new vitality into the integration of academia and industry.

During the internship, Professor Huang Xiang and his team visited Aolan’s two major facilities in Fuzhou and Luoyuan. The students explored various production workshops, operated multiple types of equipment, and engaged in in-depth discussions with company leadership, including Chairman Huang Hualing, Assistant to the Chairman An Xiaolin, Chief Engineer Professor He Huaming, Sales Center General Manager Zhong Dehui, Sales Support Center Director Lin Rongjiao, and Market Center Director Dong Yingling. They discussed topics such as evaporative cooling technology, product improvements, and industry development.

Professor Huang expressed gratitude for Aolan’s warm reception and support, emphasizing that this event provided a valuable practical platform for the evaporative cooling team, which would have a profound impact on their future academic research and career development.  Regarding the future development of the evaporative cooling industry, Professor Huang proposed three key directions:

(1)Data Centers: With the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technology, data centers, as core facilities for information processing and storage, increasingly require efficient cooling systems.  Evaporative cooling technology can offer energy-saving solutions, particularly in large-scale data centers, where its energy-saving and environmental advantages will be widely application.

(2)Rail Transit: In the rail transit sector, such as subways and high-speed trains, a significant amount of air conditioning and cooling systems is needed to ensure operational efficiency and passenger comfort.   Evaporative cooling technology has a broad market prospect because it can provide efficient cooling in open or semi-open spaces.Particularly in the context of accelerated urbanization and increasing transportation demands, evaporative cooling technology is expected to become an essential part of future rail transit systems.

(3)In the industrial sector, the production process involves a significant amount of thermal processing and cooling demands, such as in power plants, manufacturing, and chemical factories. Evaporative cooling technology can effectively reduce energy consumption and operating costs while enhancing production efficiency and product quality. As industrialization deepens and environmental protection requirements increase, the application potential of evaporative cooling technology will continue to expand.

The graduate students stated that this internship not only provided an opportunity to combine theory with practice but also contributed to a comprehensive enhancement of their professional capabilities. Through on-site learning, the team members gained a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of the production processes and exquisite craftsmanship of the Aolan series products. This internship honed their professional skills and motivated them to continue improving themselves in their future studies.

Chairman Huang Hualing expressed, "For many years, Aolan has established a close industry-university-research cooperation relationship with Xi’an Polytechnic University. We are pleased to provide a platform for students engaged in evaporative cooling research to learn and grow. We hope that these internship experiences will help them better integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application. The active participation and innovative thinking of young people contribute to the industry’s ability to better face future challenges and will help achieve the nation's dual carbon goals."

As a leading enterprise in the evaporative cooling field, Aolan not only showcases its leading position in technological innovation and manufacturing but also demonstrates its commitment and capability for deep cooperation with higher education institutions. In the future, Aolan will continue to focus on technological innovation and talent cultivation, contributing more to the development of the industry and jointly advancing evaporative cooling technology to new heights.
